Spring Break

For Spring Break we decided to go to Tulsa. To explore all the wonderful things it has to offer.
We went to the Aquariam in Jenks. The kids had a blast watching the sharks eat and watching the sting rays. By the way after seeing some of the things they have pulled out of lakes in Oklahoma, I don't think I will be swimming in one anytime soon. Scary!

Next we went to the Bodies exhibit. Very interesting. Isabelle loved looking at all the body parts and figuring out how the work. She got to hold a brain, and a heart. Totally recommend!

We also went to the Tulsa Zoo. Not as good as OKC Zoo, but still fun.

Next was my favorite stop Whole Foods. I know I'm weird, but I love it. I could spend all day in there and never get bored. Overall it was a wonderful trip. With lots of good food, swimming and good quality family time.

Storybook Forest!

We took the kids to Storybook Forest last night. It was our first time didn't no what to expect. We had a blast! The kids loved seeing all the characters for books and the hayride. Isabelle being the Diva she is did not want to wear her costume for fear that someone else might have the outfit.

Well, of course buy them a brand new, shiny four wheeler with cool helmets to match (this was moms one request). Isabelle jumped right on with no fear. Hit the throttle and didn't let off. Mommy was a little scared! Daddy and Pa thought it was too cool. We might have the next Danika on our hands. Watch out world a princess with the need for speed!

Conley Cash Turns 1 Yee Hah!!

Conley Cash had his 1st birthday this last weekend. It was a cowboy theme, so what does that mean? We had to go all out cowboy and cowgirl!!
Isabelle's outfit is only 45 years old. Jason's grandma made it for his mom for a school play when Rosanne was in the 1st grade and she kept it. Rosanne got it out of her cedar chest and it fit Isabelle, so why not wear it. Jason's grandma could not believe it was the same outfit. It was the sweetest thing. Everyone got a kick out of it.

I can not believe that our little girl is officially a 1st grader and now she is six. Time flies when you are having fun and boy are we having FUN!! Isabelle is such a great girl. I can't begin to explain how proud I am of her every day. She is beautiful inside and out, kind, sassy, loving, head strong, compassionate, funny, creative, a fashionistas and best of all a great big sister. Isabelle amazes me every day with how she can entertain herself with the smallest of things. Like how she can turn a big brown box into a playhouse with some crayons and makers and play in it for hours. I love her more than I thought one person could love another. She makes me a better person and mother every day. Happy Birthday Princess!!

Its hard to believe he was ever this small.

Hasten is 2 and I can't believe it. Even though he says he is 3. These 2 years have went by so fast. Hasten is such a big BOY now. He is potty training (almost got it), talking all the time, knows his colors, makes us love everyday, loves playing and watching baseball. He amazes me every day and makes me a better person just by being his mother. He had a wonderful Elmo themed party with family and friends and loved every minute of it.

Mother's Day

I had a fabulous Mother's Day of doing absolutely nothing. I loved every minute of it. Jason NOT so much. I truly love being a mother, but we all need a brake sometimes. Isabelle was the sweetest this morning. While I was getting ready, right when she woke up she came in the bathroom all smiles and in the sweetest voice said " Happy Mother's Day, Mommy." It just melted my heart. I love my kids so much sometimes my heart hurts!

It was the Kindergarten play and the theme was Liberty and Red, White and Blue. They sang a few songs and it was the cutest thing ever.
Isabelle did awesome!! We were so proud of her. I can't believe this year is almost over and I will have a 1st grader. She tells me all the time "I'm smart I don't need you to do that for me. I can do it." I love her independence! Sometimes it is just hard to except.

After the play we gave her a bouquet of flowers. She was more excited about the flowers than the play. Typical girl!

We did it! 13.1 miles and it was amazing. I'm posting these pictures for my family to see that I did in fact finish the marathon. I always heard that marathons are additive. I can't explain it, but it is like you've done it once why not push yourself more. Here are a few picture to document the day. It was a blast and I would totally recommend it. Jason already wants to sign up for the next one.

While shopping at Homeland today we ran into Desmond Mason who plays for the Thunder. At first I thought no I'm not going to ask. Then I decided what would it hurt. He was very friendly with the kids and graciously said yes to a picture. Isabelle did not want to take a picture, so it was Hasten and me. She did give him a high five though. That's our little brush with fame.

Easter Weekend

Our Easter did not start off great, but it was still wonderful. On Thursday Hasten came down with a fever of 103.7. The verdict was strep throat, no doubt. They gave him a shot and he started feeling better by Friday. He was never 100% the whole weekend. Poor little guy didn't really get to hut eggs or anything. Isabelle had tons of fun with her cousins hunting eggs and just running around being silly. Here are a few pictures, I didn't get many.

Long time no post!!!

Our computer has been getting fixed for what seems like an eternity. We had 700 virus and 300 spy ware. So for about three weeks we have had no computer. Which makes for a mommy that is out of touch with everything it seems. Why is it that we can come so dependent on a inanimate object? But I'm so glad that it is back. Here are a few things that have happen in the Conley household recently. Jason had been working on our bathroom and left the spackling in the bathroom, for when he was ready to work again. Hasten was in the back playing and was really quite. So I thought I should go see what he was in to. Guess what he was in? His hands were in the spackling all the way up to his elbows, rubbing his hands together and loving every minute. You just have to love the adventures of having a little boy.
On Thursday of this week my lovely daughter decides that ,being the princess she is, needs to wear her tiara to school today. So I don't argue with her and let her wear her tiara. When I pick her up a school that afternoon she still has on her tiara and says that everyone Just loved it! What did we learn from this that you can wear a tiara to school and it is not a big deal.

Today I made a popcorn cake. I got the recipe for Good Morning
American it looked easy and yummy, so I thought lets try it. Isabelle said "this is delicious I want to eat the whole thing." I said "Probably not!" It was easy and very sinful.

The other day Hasten discovered putting his hand in his diaper. And what did he pull out? Poop on his finger! He makes a face of this is so gross, but it is fun!!!

Yesterday Jason and I are having a conversation about Isabelle's teacher coming back from maternity leave. Isabelle is not really excited about Ms. Macias coming back. So Jason was spelling it out and asked me we she would be back at school. Isabelle chimes in" after Thanksgiving." No more spelling in front of her, she is too smart for us now.

We can now ask Hasten if he is poopie. He will make a sour face and wave his hand in front of his nose if he did poop. I think he is ready to be potty trained. Ha!Ha!

Hasten's 1st Haircut. Little did we know it would traumatize our child, but it did. He screamed the whole time and was not happy with us one bit. Our Weekend!!

On Saturday Isabelle and I along with Suzie and Jaxon and a ton more people did Race for the Cure. It was amazing seeing all those people running or walking for the same purpose. At times it was surreal you would see someone wearing a shirt that was in honor of someone who lost their battle with breast cancer. Overall it was an amazing experience to share with my daughter and best friend. I pray one day we will find a cure for this disease and no more children will have to lose a mother, grandmother or aunt.

After the race the family headed to Dallas to see the new addition. Jason's sister Charity had her baby on Friday afternoon. So we had to see the baby!! His name is Conley Cash. The kids were so excited to meet him. Isabelle asked on the way "Is he going to look just like us? With blond hair and blue eyes?" We said probably Not, but he is still your family. Hasten was so good with him, just loving on him. Wanted to hold him all the time.

On the way home from Dallas we decided to stop at Arbuckle Wilderness. You drive thur the park and they have all kinds animals you feed from your car. It was the funniest thing. The animals attack your car because they know you have food. They had these wood toys for the kids to play on. Isabelle called the boat Noah's Ark!!!It was a nice little trip in all.

Pumpkin Patch

Nonna(Jason's mom) and I took the kids to pick out pumpkins on Sunday. For a little distraction from the fact that daddy was a little beat up. They loved it! It was Hasten's first time and he wanted them all. When we got the pumpkins home Nonna and Pa with the help of the kids made a pumpkin snowman. I don't have any pictures of the snowman, but it turned out really cute.

This morning I got the phone call that all wives dread. Jason had been in a motorcycle wreck. This is one of those phone calls I have been dreading since the day we met. He was going around a curve in the mountains and hit some gravel and lost control. He was fine, just a little banged up. He got 2 stitches above his eye and 2 stitches in his hand. He has a fat lip and lots of bruises. This is from what he is telling me. I haven't got to see him yet, so he could be sugar coating it for me. He is on his way back from Arkansas. So keep Jason in your prayers for a speedy recovery. The lord is good, he was watching over Jason and he bringing him back to me in one piece.

We have been so busy trying to figure out our schedule with Isabelle starting Kindergarten and my working at Sonshine School that I have no time to blog. So here is a little catch up as to what has been going on.

Disney on Ice

We went to see High School Musical on Ice. Absolutely loved it!!! We had so much fun. After the show was over Isabelle and I walked around the fair a little. She wanted to see the animals. After we walked through the mud to get to our car. We headed to McDonald's for lunch. Isabelle's choice. It was so nice just to get to spend the afternoon with Isabelle. I miss those times. Of just the girls. Don't get me wrong I love my little boy. Here are some pictures from the show.

Next on list. Isabelle cut three inches off her hair. I let her decide and she wanted to do it. It is the most adorable haircut, but it makes her look older. Made Daddy a little sad.

Funny story

On Tuesday at school Isabelle's teacher Ms. Macias water broke and she went into labor. We knew this was coming. I just can't believe it happened at school. They thought that none of the kids had really noticed, but the first thing Isabelle says to Jason is "my teacher was leaking." from the mouth of babes. I thought everyone would get a kick out of the story.

1st Day of Kindergarten

First day of kindergarten was an emotional day for me, not Isabelle. She was such a big girl. I was full of so many emotions excitement, anxiety, sadness, but most of joy. My little girl is growing up to be a wonderful person. Isabelle said to me " When are you going to leave so I can learn something." It almost broke my heart then I realized I want her to be an independent girl, so this was a good thing. I give her a kiss and leave and cry all the way to the car. I just think these last five years have went by so fast before I know it she will be graduating high school and getting married. Anyway, here are the pictures from her first day. I know everyone has been waiting.

On Thursday night Isabelle and I stayed up watching the Olympics mainly the gymnastics. Isabelle was very interested in all of it. Friday morning she gets on her leotard, get a jacket because that is what they did, and a backpack( if you watched they would put their backpack on to go to the next event. Isabelle got some stickers to put around her wrist and fingers and on her toes and ankles just like the gymnasts do. It was all very interesting to me to see how wild her imagination was. Isabelle would perform her routine and then want me to say "Isabelle stuck that landing." I love the creativity she has to entertain herself. She was busy with this all day.

On another note Hasten's new thing is to put big gobs of toilet paper in the toilet or small toys. He thinks it is hilarious and I don't!

On Monday we went to the Aquauirm in Jenks. The kids had a blast!! Hasten keep saying "ohooo" and pointing at everything.

The stingrays in this picture would jump up on to the side on the tank. It was the craziest thing.

On Tuesday we went to Turner Falls to have a picnic and go swimming. I hadn't been to Turner Falls in a long time. Walking on the rocks is very hard and it hurts your feet. Overall it was fun. From there we went to Grapevine Mills Outlet mall to shop a little and eat at the Rainforest Cafe. The kids loved all the animals making noise and moving around. Our next stop was the Yankees vs. Rangers game. It was the first baseball game for both the kids. We didn't know what to expect from either one of them, but they loved it. Isabelle would yell for the Yankees. The people around us didn't appreciate it, but we thought it was funny. Hasten would just point at everything.

The new season of Project Runway started last night. I love this show!! Right now my favorite designer is Kenley. She is super cute and I love her style.

Monday evening we decided to take the kids to the zoo since it wasn't too hot. It was the perfect evening! No one was there and all the animals were out. The kids could walk around without us having to worry.

Hasten got a train table and track for his birthday and his Daddy and Uncle Jay had more fun playing with it than he did . They spent probably 30 minutes building the track for Hasten to destroy in 1 minute. Boys and their toys! They never grow up.

On Monday Isabelle and her Prince Charming aka Daddy had Tea for Two at the church. Isabelle was so excited all day. Prince Charming was excited too!!! About getting to dress up in a fancy dress, have big girl tea, and all with just her daddy.

I look at Isabelle and she amazes me daily. She is caring, honest, loving, full of spirit, and beautiful. I'm so proud of her and all her little talents. Having Isabelle has made me a better person. The other day she wanted to stop and take a moment to pray for a squirrel that a gotten ran over by a car. She says when she grows up she wants to be a Mommy just like me. I tell her that it is the best job in the world.

This was the relaxing part of the trip. Not the 5 hour drive there. Can you say SCREAMING child in back seat that just wants out of his carseat. You feel like a trapped animal. There is nothing you can do to make him happy and you just have to hope that the madness will end soon. And it did. Finally! After about an Hour and a half of crying. And poor Isabelle is right next to him. Covering her ears.

This was the next day riding the tea cups with Isabelle. We had the most fun!!!

The next Danica Patrick. Isabelle loved driving the little go carts and would cut other kids off so she could get in front. She kept saying " I won that race."
Shopping at the outlets in Branson. The kids are trying to escape. They thought the horse would get them out of there. LOL!!!

This is Isabelle post boo. She fell off the monkey bars and bit almost through her bottom lip. She thought she could go across by herself. She learned this lesson the hard way. I doubt it will be the last time! I think it was more traumatic for me than her. She didn't even want to leave the playground after it happened. She said " I'm OK! I just want to swing." I love her carefree attitude. I strive to be more like that.

I haven't blogged in a week. My sweet husband has been doing all the honey-dos around the house. So we have been busy. Things we have accomplished this week. Do you like how I used "we". New front door, new screen door, painted the laundry room, new floor in laundry room, cleaned out garage, new locks on front door, put up shelfs in laundry room, paint table that I have had for a year, and some more stuff I just can't remember. Overall "we" have accomplished a lot.

Isabelle started swimming lessons on Saturday. They recommend goggles to make going under water more enjoyable for the kids. So we went to Target and I let her pick out her goggles. They had to be Pink and Green. That evening during bath time she decides to try them out in the tub. Hasten has taken up walking with a little help. He will pull and try to push on everything to walk. I have a step stool in the kitchen and he will push it all over to get where he wants. I think he will be walking very soon.

This weekend was Charity's (Jason's younger sister)wedding in Dallas. Isabelle was the flower girl. She was the sweetest and cutest little flower girl. She stood up there perfect during the entire wedding. I can't say the same for my little man Hasten. He was tried and hungry. Of course I'm wearing a dress that doesn't really work for breastfeeding. So I take him up stairs to feed him. I have to unzip my dress to do this. So he is done eating and I think I get my dressed zip back up, so I can go back to the wedding. Much to my horror when I sit back down in the front row mind you. Jason has to zip up my dress. I just say "What are you going to do?" "He had to eat and I didn't have a choice." Oh the many joys of motherhood!! The wedding was lovely despite my little flash. Here are a few pictures.

They had their first bath together and loved it. Now Isabelle insist that they take a bath together every time. She loves splashing and playing with Hasten and he loves it too. Bonus it makes my life a little easier too.

Goal Chart

So we started a Goal Chart with Isabelle about two weeks ago. We wanted her to start doing things on her own without us having to ask her. Things like cleaning her room, brushing her teeth, helping mom when asked, etc. The goal was to get 10 stickers and then Isabelle could go to the store and pick something out that she really wanted. With in reason of course. About a week ago she found these Hello Kitty shoes and she just had to have them. I told her we could get them today and then when she had 10 stickers I would give her the shoes. So it took about week, but she got her prize. Isabelle has been so great about picking up her room without wining and wanting to do it. Helping when I ask and asking to help me with laundry. It is a big improvement! I'm very proud at how my little girl is turning out. Here is a picture of the new shoes!

Our Week

Our week did not start out great. On Monday I woke up with what I thought was pink eye. Go to the eye doctor and he says no you have a cold in your eye. I said what? A cold in my eye sounded crazy. Isabelle said it looked disguising! Thanks honey. So got so drops and that afternoon felt awful. Woke up the next morning feeling like a new woman.

So on Tuesday everything had been fine all day around 7:00pm Isabelle has a temperature of 103 and a rash on her neck and upper torso. We are like oh my goodness what is going on with our daughter. So we head to the ER. The doctor checks her out and say she has tonsillitis. My first thought is surgery, but no. You always think the worse. They give her a shot of antibiotics in the bottom. That was awful. If looks could kill the nurse that gave her the shot wouldn't be here now. She got a cute band-aid on her bottom and shows it to everyone. So Isabelle is feeling much better! Praise God!

On Wednesday night we notice that our older dogs eye is matted and a pus in it. Are you kidding me! So now she is at the vet to find out what is going on with her. We pray for the best.

Today has been a nice relaxing day. Isabelle stayed home from school today. Even though she wanted to go I thought she needed the rest. We went to the park and played. We did sidewalk chalk and swung. Hasten got to feel the grass for the first time and tried to eat some. It was a great day in the words of Isabelle.

Girls Night Out!!

A much anticipated girls night out. We have all been trying to get together since January and it finally happened in March. This is girls that I grew up with in the little town of Konawa. We met at The Melting Pot. If you haven't been there you must go! It is amazing. The perfect place to visit, because it is a 4 course meal. With dessert being the best! Anyway, it was such a good visit we laughed, cried and everything in between. I love all these girls and I can't believe here we are in our thirty's with kids! It just doesn't seem possible. I highly recommend getting together with old friends it is very therapeutic.

However after an evening of eating all that food I had to go to Spin class the next morning. I am totally addicted to spinning. I love it and you can burn 600 calories in one class.

Isabelle is in love with a new channel she has just discovered. It is called Boomerang! They show old cartoons that I grew up with. Like the Smurfs, Snorks, Scooby Doo, and the Flintstones. It is really funny to watch these cartoons now. They have absolutely no educational value, but Isabelle enjoys watching them. We hope this phase ends soon!

Does anyone else remember the Snorks? Jason says he doesn't remember watching them. This coming from the guy who has never seen Goonies!!

Good News

Went to the doctor yesterday and Hasten received a clean bill of health. No more Flu or RSV. Amen!!! No life can get back to normal. As if! What is normal with kids? Another tid bit of good news. Today we got a letter from Nichols Hills Elementary and Isabelle got in! We are so excited! Now that means I have to get her some uniforms. How cute will that be? Too cute!! I can't believe my baby girl is going to start kindergarten next year. It doesn't seem real to me. I remember hearing my Granny say "Time goes by so fast" and thinking no it doesn't. Now I realize what she meant. You blink and a year has gone by so fast. This picture seem like yesterday.

Double Whammy!!

After 2 days of misery, which means no sleep!! Hasten had a fever of 102, was restless, and was miserable. He wasn't acting like himself at all. Just constant crying. Poor Isabelle was stuck in her room playing by herself, because Hasten wouldn't let me put him down. We decided it wasn't just a cold and thought we should go to the doctor. The doctor ran a test for RSV and the flu. And guess what? He tested positive for both. I could not believe it. My poor baby! No wonder he was so crankie. Now I feel awful. The doctor gave us some medicine and sent us on our way. Hasten has had 1 dose of the medicine and is feeling a little better. Wanting to get down a play a little. I just want to know were we got this awful stuff? The only saving grace is that no one else has it yet. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

A Scary thing!!

Today one of a mothers biggest fears happened to me. Hasten was standing in his crib like he always does. All of the sudden the side of the crib goes down and he falls out head first, does a complete flip and lands on his back. It seemed like it was in slow motion and I just couldn't get there fast enough. He starts screaming and crying. I start searching for anything bleeding or bumps. Like us mothers do. He was fine. It took a little while to calm him down, but he was back to normal. Wanting down to crawl. Isabelle trying to make him feel better says "That was a great flip Bubba." Isn't that the sweetest.

Everyone has been on me to start blogging again so I thought I would try. I can't make any promises that I will keep it up, but I will try. Okay here are some adorable pictures of the kids.

My little fashionista. She always tells me what looks good. Our favorite show to watch together is Project Runway. The next day she will do her own version of the show. It is adorable. I love the way her mind works. She has such a creative imagination.

This is my little ladies man. He is always smiling. Just a happy little guy. I look in his eyes though and he has a little mischievioues side. I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Ok! for all of you who didn't know. We are expecting our second baby the end of July. My belly is getting huge, fast!! Isabelle loves talking to the baby, but she insists that it is in fact a girl. She doesn't want a stinking boy. I can't believe how big she is getting. I enrolled her for school next year and she is in Pre-K. Can you believe it my baby is almost four. She tells me she wants to say little forever, if only they could.
